Project objective was to provide a complete control and reporting environment for the Global Wealth Management arm of a leading US Investment Bank. The role was to ensure that all existing reconciliations were complete and had integrity by providing analysis of issues that created Out-of-Balances (OOBs) between systems in order to allow for the development and deployment of a new reconciliation process.
? Documentation of all inter-reconcliliation discrepancies.
? Remediation of all discrepancies.
? Full analysis of all root causes, liaising with department SMEs to ensure that a resolution was in place under the new reconciliation process.
? Testing of the new reconciliation tools and processes.
? Creation of new reporting tool to allow management to track daily movements in the OOB to a high level of granularity.

Role was to provide support to the client team in investigating Quarterly-Roll as well as BAU breaks in the settlement process as well as the training of the team as key components of the process were offshored. Due to changes in the FED requirements the role was expanded to include support in the testing and implementation of the new CLS process for settlement of CDS products.
? Investigation of breaks, liaising with various departments across the business as well as counterparties in order to effect the resolution of these items.
? Training of personnel as well as provision of procedures documents.
? Key role in the migration from standard inter-bank settlement process to new CLS platform as per FED guidelines.
? Liaising with multiple counterparties to agree Quarterly Roll net settlements as well as the providing the investigation for any settlement breaks resulting from the roll.
? Investigated issues relating to migration of trades resulting from the purchase of a Global Investment Bank.
? Implementation of root cause analysis into settlement breaks.
The role involved the investigation of breaks relating to the settlement of IRD transactions as well as providing support required to migrate the process from Asia to the UK. The role required the development of a sound understanding of the products as well as the processes involved.
? Investigation of breaks relating to the settlement process.
? Part of a small team that provided support to the Asian business unit, ultimately migrating elements of the process back to the UK.
? Provided root cause analysis into settlement breaks.
Position within Equity Settlements Team. Responsible for the reconciliation of Securities and Cash settling within key markets such as Germany and Italy as well as Austria and Luxembourg.
Role included the investigation of breaks, liaising with various departments, making contact with market custodians as well as clients in relation to unprocessed trades, escalation of outstanding issues, training of new hires as well as the production of a formal training manual that has been assimilated in the training process.
