Responsibilities:
1. Service Quality: Ensure customers have an outstanding dining experience at the restaurant. Supervise the service team, maintain high standards of customer service, and promptly address any customer complaints or issues.
2. Staff Management: Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing the front-of-house service team. Provide guidance to staff and encourage teamwork to maximize their potential.
3. Operations Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
4. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with every item on the menu, offer menu recommendations to customers, and handle special requests and food allergies.
5. Sales Targets: Develop and implement sales targets and promotion plans to increase restaurant revenue and footfall.
6. Cost Control: Monitor restaurant costs to ensure operations stay within budget and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
7. Staff Training: Organize and implement staff training programs to enhance team skills and service quality.
8. In-house Coordination: Work closely with the back-of-house team to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and kitchen, providing efficient dining service.
Requirements:
- Relevant restaurant management experience, with a preference for those with front-of-house management experience.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with the food and beverage industry and a profound understanding of customer service.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle peak hours and challenges.
- Responsible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems is a plus.
About you
We are looking for someone that is passionate about delivering the ultimate experience to our team and guests. Equally you will be passionate about hospitality and have at least 3 years experience in FOH management in a premium casual dining restaurant.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to have the following but not limited to:
Understanding of financials, reports & budgets
Strong time management skills & attention to detail
Knowledge in cocktails, wine & beverage production
Passion and professionalism in delivering quality service
Excellent grooming & presentation, reliable with a friendly attitude and great smile!
The ability to lead a brigade to the level of standard expected
