An exciting new opportunity for a Kitchen Supervisor to join Australia’s Korean oven-roasted chicken and beer restaurant concept at Strathfield, Sydney.
About Us
Goobne is Australia’s Korean oven-roasted chicken restaurant. This large-scale interactive restaurant concept will win the hearts of chicken and beer enthusiasts. Goobne is bringing what we call a K-Food concept; K-Pop, Korean heritage, Karaoke, and Kick ass flavours.

The key responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to,
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Goobne oven roasted chicken and side dishes to approved procedures
- Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Ensure compliance with health, food and safety regulations
- Liaise with the kitchen manager to train and develop the kitchen team to multi-skill
- Assist kitchen manager with weekly budgets, food costing, ordering and carrying out stock control
- Be partly responsible for other cooks and other kitchen employees within the kitchen department in the absence of the kitchen manager
- Ensure all food products are stored in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure a high standard kitchen cleanliness is always maintained
- Be passionate about the brand by driving Goobne values amongst the kitchen team
- Ensure the kitchen team comply with legal regulations within the kitchen
- Assist in the creation and execution of rotating rosters along with the Kitchen and Restaurant managers
About you
The right candidate will be confident in supervising a full team within a kitchen environment. You will be full of passion and energy, excited for a new challenge and ready to hit the ground running.
You will also have,
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Professional or tertiary qualification in hospitality management would be viewed as desirable
- In-Depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
- In-Depth knowledge of the food and beverage industry
- Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment while running a full team of kitchen staff
- Ability to multi - task and take on many different challenges head on
- Outstanding communication skills in order to develop strong relationships with your co-workers
- Organisational and supervisory skills to ensure smooth running of the kitchen
- Ability to assist with the motivation, training and development of employees
- Flexible work schedule is a must, including nights, weekends and public holidays
