Our client, one of the leading construction companies in the global market is currently seeking a qualified civil estimator who is passionate and dedicated to make a common goal within the organization.
An establishment of Brisbane branch is currently underway. Thus, the successful candidate will have a chance for this new branch to settle down into the industry and play a major role in Civil engineering industry in Australia since this is a newly created opportunity.
The successful candidates must have experience in a similar role and have good background knowledge or qualifications in civil engineering and construction industry.
Also, as a civil engineer, this vacant position will require the ideal candidate to
-do marketing activities such as sales and make business contracts with potential clients
-estimate total budget for the project
-find sub contractors rolling the ball smoothly and cooperate with sub contractors choosen closely
-assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects,
-prepare bids for tenders,
-report to manager, clients and public agencies ,
-manage/mornitor progress during each pahse of a project,
-liaise with existing and new diverse companies
-lead the developing and implementing of strategic plans to improve business.
The ideal candidates would possess following qualifications:
- Previous experiences essential in similar role for at least 3years
- Fluent communication skill in English (Korean speaking candidates would be highly regarded.)
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal requlations and local industry.
- The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines
- A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant qualifications/experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and contractors
- Project management skills
- Judging whether projects are workable by assessing materials, costs, time and labour requirements
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- A current driver's license
- PR visa or Australian citizen only
Responsibilities for this position will include (not limited to)
- Plan and designe marketing/infrastructure project and implement project with required various strategies
- Manage and develop the relationship with clients
- Construct new clients to stengthen business operation
- Liaise with partners, subcontractors and suppliers closely and effectively
- Inspection of works (in order to meet sites'legal guidelines and health and safety requirements)
- Produce cost-effective solutions for the organization
- Quality assurance
- Report to manager on a day to day basis
