The Hangari Kimchi is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Head Chef/ Chef to join our team.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000/year

* Responsible for the daily preparation of food items
* Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentationspecifications as set by the restaurant.
* Restock all items as needed throughout the shift.
* Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety,sanitation, organisational skills.
* Has understanding and knowledge to properly use andmaintain all equipment in the kitchen.
* Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organisation ofkitchen, coolers, and all storage areas.
* Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies orintolerances.
* Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standardand any additional sanitary measures
* Ensure timely preparation of all meals.
* Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet dailyneeds.
* Utilise kitchen equipment during food preparation.
* Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents andincidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.
* Serve food in the proper portion size and at the propertemperature.
-- For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
* Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking in Austraila or proven track record of kitchen leadership and supervisory role
* 3 years of work experience in commercial kitchen or at least 1 year experience in Korean cuisine
* Understanding of safe food handling procedures and safepractices in a kitchen
